Hi8 is a standardized 8mm analog video format and was commercialized in 1989 by Sony and others.  The Hi8 video tape format was designed to compete with improved S-VHS, has approx. 400 lines of resolution, and supports analog and digital audio.  Hi8, P6-120, or VideoHi8 tapes play for 120 minutes in NTSC SP mode and 240 minutes in LP (85 minutes PAL SP and 170 minutes PAL LP mode).  Tapes can be used in Video8, Hi8, or Digital8 equipment.


PRICES:
TRANSFER video tape to mp4 file: $40 per tape.
TRANSFER PAL videotape: add $20 per tape.
USB FLASH DRIVE (Thumb drive) for audio file(s): $10 each (up to 16Gb).
DOWNLOAD audio files and 30 day Cloud storage: $10 per order (25Gb max).
DVD (DVDs are becoming obsolete): $20 each (2 hours max).
LONG TAPE: add $12 for each additional hour ($2 per minute).
*Unclaimed material will be discarded after 1 year.
 
h264.mp4 is a very common and well supported file format; files on a USB flash drive will play in Windows and MAC computers and will plug & play in many modern TVs.  Other file formats available by request (avi, mov, etc).
